As my Dr. said, when skaing his head after explaining that these osteophytes and thier pain are mine forever.:

"Getting old isn't for wimps" .
That was his closer.

I'm still standing.
Thanks God.

I thought growing old would take longer.

Yesterday while walking around the Jensen Beach Art Show, i spot an older couple.

The gentleman is sitting in a cloth chair with 4 little wheels, legs straight out in front of him, no support, no expression just riding.

The wife is pushing him and glancing at the Art booths.

i take a step back so as they may pass.

From my immediate left i hear a baby jabbering...the mother is pushing a 3 Wheeled cart and her baby's legs are dangling out the front kicking away!

The two pushers stop for a moment,
the old man breaks out in a smile,
the baby talks and waves more...
and the two pushers decide which one goes left or right...

i think of the old Man...90 years and a lot of miles but still able to smile at what was the past...

Once a man and twice a child.

Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system.

In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer".

That's why Sponge Bob is so appealing these days.

So I've got this big red bulge on the right big toe. Podiatrist: "it's a cyst." Why a cyst? There's a bone spur. Why a bone spur? Growth due to osteoarthritis. Leads to spur, leads to debris, leads to formation of a pocket full of some sort of fluid. At least it's more or less painless.

Who'da thunk it woulda happened at all? My retirement plan was the 2012 apocalypse. As stupid as I've been in the ocean, I didn't think I'd make that.
