well video was released of iran removing a device off the hull of one of the ships. witnesses saw the iranian boat as well. why do we care? narrow body of water where our ships operate and a trade route. our naval vessels, commercial vessels, and those of allied countries operate there. this is open state sponsored terrorism. the rub is that response should be united nation driven not us driven. israel and us have both been itching to smack iran in the mouth, so yeah, probably war

I genuinely don't think Iran has the balls to try a stunt like that. The straights are extremely important to the entire world. Shenanigans going down there could very well lead to all out war.

several news agencies this morning reported iran was blocking removal of one of the damaged ship. how odd.

i read a couple of articles on that. he wasnt there so is speculating based on limited information. crew saw iranian naval vessel and reported taking projectile fire as well. video analysis by experts via media agencies have also said object removed by iranian vessel appears to match the mine. in short, too early for you to make such statements

this entire thing seems fishy across the board to me. why would the ship report taking projectile fire and why would the iranian naval ship there, if it was indeed them, shoot at a tanker? almost makes me think they knew the mine was there and tried to detonate it before the tanker hit it. of course then there is the other one to think about. anyhow playing mine games in that area is nothing new for iran. also, now we are claiming attacks by iran on two of our drones

Perhaps they are trying to preserve the crime scene for analysis.

you are just going to take the trump administration's word that it was an Iranian gov't operation? Was it flying an Iranian flag? Do you think that nobody else has access to the same weapons that Iran uses? You think the U.S. should be the police force on that side of the world and regulate a nearly landlocked body of water? When the nations surrounding that area are some of the richest in the world. We don't need that oil. I'd rather spend a billion helping out the poor people in Central America than spend the money on keeping the Straits of Hormuz open.
