Every Republican that turned their blind eyes to Trump is accusing him of "potential" witness tampering. I would not be too impressed with that allegation if I were you. Its easy to say that Manafort was coerced because he was facing life in prison. He will get life in prison, but not because he was coerced. He gets life because that was the what he scored in his sentencing guidelines. Trump, who is remarkably sympathetic to tax cheats, thieves and gangsters, thinks that because any one would lie to get out of that sentence, therefore everyone must be lying. Mueller didn't use a single source or individual. Those investigations took so long because they knew the targets of these investigations would make these predictable allegations and they are ready for them.

This is a predictable response to finding out your inner circle is now your noose. Trump, who is remarkably sympathetic to gangsters, money launderers and thieves, inferred that because these sources could spend the rest of their lives in prison, they would tell the Government what they want to hear instead of the truth to save their own necks. This is not a fact but an inference. It fails to take into consideration that the feds have unlimited resources and time. They spend a very long time learning the truth from many different sources with corroboration and substantiation from many sources, not just witnesses. They knew that this was coming and they are ready.
