Too bad that has to be a white thing for you. I would prefer something so trivial like skin pigmentation to have nothing to do with any of that.
I would prefer if I didn't have to go to work every day, I would prefer if my wife looked like Anna Kornikova, I would prefer if I was hung like Ron Jeremy

Cool story, but totally irrelevant. If you want to stress about how much skin pigmentation someone has, that is on you. I see everyone as equally human.

Well unfortunately how you "prefer" the world to be, is not how it is. Race and socio economic status does matter in many areas life. Treatment by police, job opportunity, and many other things. Once those things are resolved then sure we can ignore race, but until then...

Really? You mean the world isn't all gum balls and cotton candy? Wow, thanks for the insight.

I have a dream...

Some people choose to care about this fact. Others since it does not affect them, or even benifts them, choose to ignore it.

You just said things need to be resolved before we can forget about race. How do you quantify the process of resolving such things

So in hopes of getting people to ignore race, we should treat people differently based on race?

Again, cool story. Having ideas for a better future doesn't mean the present is ignored. You are coming across like you have a problem with treating people the same. If that makes me a horrible person to you, then the problem you have isnt with me. We are never going to have a world where everyone is equal as long as we continue to treat people differently.

Are sure that is how you really feel? It doesn't seem like you actually want that. I mean that is exactly what I have been saying and you took issue with it.

OK What's your proposal for stopping institutionalized racism and keeping the system from being inherently more difficult for minorities to succeed, especially in the education and prison system realms and also with racial wage gaps? Oh wait, you think everyone is on an equal playing field to begin with and don't believe these obstacles exist. So much for that. NVM
