CNN is getting torched over revelation as many as 4 sheriff's deputies hid during Parkland mass shooting

The CNN town hall following the deadly Parkland mass shooting may go down as one of the most infamous set-ups in live televised history.

There are multiple accusations - not just from JROTC hero Colton Haab, but echoed by fellow Parkland student Ariana Klein - that the entire town hall was "scripted" to push an agenda.
It was a seemingly endless barrage of cries for 'gun control,' demonization of law-abiding NRA members, and harassment of conservatives like Dana Loesch and Republican politicians like Senator Marco Rubio.

As Loesch entered the lion's den to yells of "burn her!" as well as "murderer!" and "child killer!" the self-righteous Hillary-supporting Broward County Sheriff Steve Israel knew all along that deputy Scot Peterson had waited at least four minutes outside the school during the active shooter situation.

Now, as a Sun Sentinel report shows, as many as four deputies hid while the massacre commenced. CNN also reported the development:
When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff's Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff's deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN.
The deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles, the sources said, and not one of them had gone into the school.

This would have been useful information for the public to know during the CNN town hall, when accusations about law enforcement lapses provided important background to the gun control debate.
At one point, Loesch confronted Israel with the report, originally sourced back to CNN itself, that the police visited Cruz after complaints at least thirty nine times. Israel, indeed, pushed back against the accusation.


But the police department was also given a specific tip, among 18 separate phone calls about Cruz's violent behavior, that he "planned to shoot up the school."  The FBI failed to aggressively investigate Cruz's social media warnings that he intended to become a "professional school shooter." There were failures at every level of government and law enforcement in Broward County, leading to the deaths of at least 17 people, most of them schoolchildren.

It has not gone unnoticed that the infuriating report about the Broward County sheriff's deputies has conveniently surfaced following the CNN town hall, and over a week after the mass shooting, despite it being a fairly self-evident observation that could have been reported within days, if not hours of the incident.

After the town hall, Loesch messaged Israel regarding the report about deputy Peterson's inaction during the shooting.


"Additionally, @browardsheriff sat on that stage with me last night fully aware that his deputy had been outside and armed while this madman had four minutes to massacre - and said NOTHING," she pointed out.

It's not surprising that the sheriff responsible for the cowardly behavior of a police department would also be a coward when it came to revealing the facts about the Parkland shooting. That Israel would reek moral condemnation towards innocent, law-abiding gun owners who desire nothing more than to protect themselves and their children from grave harm is not only hubris, but the height of hypocrisy.
