Suicide is never the best answer for a problem like this. 

He could have waited a week until the news cycle flipped onto something else then went back to preaching and being of service to others.

He must have had other personal problems or this was one BIG problem. I do not know any of the details. What was he going on about 9/11 and PTSD about?

Yep, sucks for the family.

1) They have to deal with his death.

2) They have the weight of suicide on them forever.

3) He is gone with a disgusting legacy.

The kids need to begin therapy now.

I was right.

He blamed NPR and they didn't even cover his story. He was a pastor. He tried to force himself on his daughter's friend. It was investigated but there were no witnesses and nothing beyond the conflicting sworn statements. His denial was desperate and ugly. His suicide seems so cowardly. Had he believed in the religion that exalted him, he could have seen himself humbled, broken and eventually honest about it all. He could have admitted his actions, apologized to tne girl and sought forgiveness. That would have taken courage and it would have seen him through his downfall. He didn't practice what he preached. He chose the coward's retreat and he poisoned his family with his cowardice.
