Former Massachusetts State Senator Brian Joyce Arrested

Last Friday, former Massachusetts State Senator Brian Joyce was arrested on multiple charges of corruption stemming from his time as a powerful state lawmaker.

The federal indictment has a whopping 113 counts! Acting U.S. Attorney William Weinreb accused Joyce of running his office like a "criminal enterprise."

And here I thought the Kennedys were the most corrupt Democrats in Massachusetts. This guy makes Joseph Kennedy Sr., look like a choir boy.

Over the course of his nine terms in office, Joyce ran his office like an organized crime syndicate, accepting bribes for his work as a legislator.

From CBS:
The 104-page indictment includes a number of charges including racketeering, extortion, wire fraud and money laundering. Joyce "violated the public's trust" and "decided to take the path of greed," federal law enforcement officials said, CBS Boston reported.
Yikes. I guess it's true: Nobody rigs the system more than a Democrat.

In 2016, the FBI closed in on Joyce, and reportedly invaded his office to gather evidence for an ongoing investigation.

Most surprisingly of his crimes was his taking hundreds of pounds of Dunkin Donuts coffee as payment for helping a local franchise owner. America may run on Dunkin, but it looks like plenty of morally compromised individuals ran on Joyce.

As the Daily Caller points out, this is the second high-profile Democrat lawmaker in Massachusetts in recent weeks to go down for something so scandalous. Reporter Nick Givas writes, "This is the second time this month a Massachusetts Democrat has been embroiled in a massive scandal. Massachusetts Senate President Stan Rosenberg resigned last week, amidst reports his husband Bryon Hefner had been sexually inappropriate with four separate men."

Something rotten is up on Boston, and it sure isn't conservatives, who are a timid minority within the state.

Is it me, or does it seem like the Democrats have no qualms with committing crimes, as long as it's to their benefit? The Clintons, the Kennedys, and now this guy.

That's something to keep in mind the next time a liberal tries to assume the mantle of moral superiority.
