Really? Do tell. Iraq was stable when Obama took office and below is a map of it today. Okay, so you really don't understand the difference. I thought you were actually more intelligent, but that's okay. Please continue.

Disappointing people on a surf forum is the worst
I'm guessing you are implying that GWB "stirred up a hornet's nest" or something like this. Like these guys just loved us before he took office, like they didn't have government commissioned murals of the planes hitting the twin towers (really bad murals, I might add), and like we didn't uncover a plot they were working on regarding assassinating an former President: https://oig.justice.gov/special/9704a/05bush2.htm I'm not here to put words in your mouth. Feel free to explain exactly what you meant yourself. ------------------------- "The government who robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul," - George Bernard Shaw “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f—k things up.” - Barack Obama “End of quote. Repeat the line.” - wise words from Joe Biden |

I replied to a post topic on isis. As much as a nation state is part of the merkan name given to the group, I was not posting to any kind of country's stability, just a reference to an article that talks about the group. You may go look up the genesis of isis. Here is a decent read on a key player. if you want to get partisan, look at when he was released as a prisoner. Partisan politics is not something that drives my posting. I've voted on both sides. As for stability, that region has not really been stable much, but I suppose that depends on your interpretation of the word. I was posting on the fact that the drone killings, one of the points of the article linked in the initial thread of this topic, are just one part of what is impacting the decay of isis. There are others out there that define what is being done if you are a follower of military tactics and recent policy/intelligence sites (not just US). clear?

The Post story is from Joby Warrick, who won a Pulitzer for his book on ISIS. Earlier on, he'd won a Pulitzer for his reports on polluting pig farms in North Carolina. |

The last adminsitration destabilized Iraq when they destroyed the infrastructure to take out Sadam. We may not have liked him or how he ran the country but it was much more stable. Destroying the infrastructure left the country ripe for destablilization and a breeding groups like isis.

"Obviously the war in Iraq was a big, fat mistake," Trump said, launching into a fierce critique of rival Jeb Bush's brother. "George Bush made a mistake," the billionaire continued. "Obviously we can make mistakes, but that one was a beauty."
"We should have never been in Iraq," Trump added. "They lied, they said there were weapons of mass destruction. There were none and they knew that there were none." "You gotta fight ISIS first," he continued. "You can't fight two wars at one time. That's why we've been in the Middle East for 15 years and we haven't won anything. We've spent $5 trillion in the Middle East because of thinking like that." http://thehill.com/blogs/ballo...ng-into-iraq-they-lied |

I am saying its a cop out, much less intellectually dishonest to blame this and everything on Bush. You guys act like it was he alone that decided to go into Iraq, and gloss over the fact that your queen also voted to go in, along with all the other career politicians. Going into Iraq was a stupid response to what happened on 911, weapons of mass destruction, or whatever else we were sold as the reason. Our government is to blame, just like our government is still to blame for the current mess. To say its only Bush and/or Obama, or to refute the involvement/consequences of either of their administration's decision making, only proves that you are incapable of independant thought, and gobble up what ever fits your narrative. |
