Within the next 8-10 years, someone will do a study that will find that lending institutions have tightened their policies on lending and that a disproportionate number of minorities do not own homes and are not getting a fair shot at the "American dream". Lending practices will be called racist and discriminatory. Who gets elected as the next President will probably have a big impact as to whether or not this claim is laughed at or if we start the process of building a housing bubble all over again.

I think that sure, in the next 10 years people will still try to blame the next bubble on minorities searching for their share the American Dream instead of all of those rich and careless speculators who drove the last one.

The speculators that were building Miami high rise condos that went belly up were building those for minorities? |

Regardless of whether or not minorities are responsible for the majority of the delinquent loans, they will be at the center of the wedge argument that will be used to loosen the restrictions on lending. It isn't a matter of if. It is a matter of when. When this economy takes a real turn for the better, I can guarantee that the majority of the libs on this board will be all for it. People are predictable, the market is more complicated. U

Stop your bleating and crying. If Daddy Big Bucks does not have a guarantee that he is "safe" and will continue to make 30%+ on his money, , , , things just WILL NOT WORK, and life-as-we-know-it will come to an END.
