it is not the governments job to reflect the views of ANY religion.

weed and prostitution need to be legalized too...

Muslim countries? That is a good question and I imagine the answer is zero.

Clerics hold positions of power in their governments, our Constitution forbids it.

Imagine molding policy to extremist views like those of fish killer?

"Just still trying to get the point across to you guys that you champion these causes like some sort of psuedo activists...gay rights, racism, global warming..
with such vigor in writing....
when almost all of you are probably not directly affected by (most)these issues...
most of you are prob not directly taking steps to solve these issues...:

Of course you know nothing of the sort about any of us.

Not sure about marriage but there are Muslim countries that respect gay rights.

actually I do...working for the data mine company I work for I've built a pretty impressive data file on all of you over the last few years...bawha ha ha(ominous voice)....smoke bomb....disappear

seriously...you are correct...I stated the same thing on another thread....my generalization above was an educated guess, law of averages plotted against post history...I said most..and my overall point was more of the same from me...about america v. others and anymore left politicians no better than right politicians=left=right=left=etc they just differ on the  social issues

gay might be legal in those countries but I am (pretty)sure the average american is more accepting

peace out bloods

As far as Gay Marriage, wish my Brother could have married Ken before he passed. Hung out (no pun) with a ton  of "normal" Gay/Lesbians.

Weed- At least de-criminalize 1oz or less, and take the control away from the Cartels. Plus, quit pissing away the money on Law Enforcement, and tying up the Courts. Far more folks  do a doob than admit it, and, never seen a pothead (just pot) start a fight as opposed to drunks feeling 10 feet tall

Prostitution. Legalize with strict controls like Germany, hell, Europe. People are People.  Severe .....punishment if you hurt the Ladies. Severe punishment if you "sell" yourself outside the "zone".

Didn't you take your BS gibberish and eject earlier today??

The truth is I do not know what the hell I am talking about and just post a stream of 1/4 baked "thoughts" .... and then when people ask me what the solution is ... I got nothing.

I don't think it is the concept so much as the tax exempt status to burden on those churches that do not have it in their doctrine to marry persons of the same sex.

No one claims to know everything.

Of course everyone thinks they are right.

Everyone has an opinion and states it as though it's right.  That's cool.

Not everyone is trying to tell others what to do or how to correct their path.  But you (and FK) can surely try.

I disagree, I think marriage is a very healthy thing. Relationships are hard, and if there's no hassle to get out it's too easy to quit. Especially when kids are involved, unless one of the team is crazy, physically abusive, or a drug addict they should do everything they can to sort out any issues.

I think long term monogamous relationships are a stabilizing force in our society and is a good thing. That's probably why religion promotes it so much.

It's not for everyone, but I think it's very good for kids to have married parents if at all possible.
