Obama annouces the resignation of Secretary Hagel and says it was Hagel's idea.  The Pres said Hagel admitted he wasn't up to the job, and that he failed to identifiy ISIS as a threat or mobilize to combat ebola fast enough.

For those who know the record, it was Hagel that was stressing the danger of ISIS when the PiC was laughing ISIS off as a "Jayvee team."  And it was also Hagel who first proposed a military containment/treatment response to the west African pandemic.

Just last week Hagel said "The main responsibility of a leader is is to prepare your institution for the future.  If you don't do that you've failed.  I don't care how good you are, how smart you are, any part of your job.  If you don't prepare your institution, you've failed."

Can there be any doubt who Hagel was referring to as "failed", or the direction the PiC is taking the US military?  Are we really to believe that Hagel wasn't fired and forced to be another Republican scape goat?

That's a class act and so transparent too.

The PiC has a long history of blaming others for his incompetence. This is yet another case of that. As you said, the PiC absolutely knew about ISIS and did nothing until it was too late. He his now pointing the finger at Hagel. The PiC is a dispicable bag of slime.

ISIS popped up, like a "Jack-in-the-Box", but it was not on Obama's list of things to "Change", so he used "Hope" to make it go away.

The PiC has had 3 Secretaries of Defense in 6 years. Each has branded the PiC as an incompetent. That tells you something, unless you are a prog.
