Oops, they are rationing food now, along with those other prog paradises of N. Korea and Cuba. As I have been saying lately, progs are wrong about everything. ------------------------- I :heart; Q |

I think you must have mis-understood... They are probably just rationing PORTION sizes, Like limiting Cokes to 32oz drinks and school lunch portions to 300 calories...... The Liberals don't want grandma to have to eat cat food like the Conservatives do... In the liberals lexicon, it is for their own greater good....

Actually, Bolivia is more our vision.
Evo Morales has proved that socialism doesn't damage economies ------------------------- “It is the heart of US policy to use fascism to preserve capitalism while claiming to be saving democracy from communism “ - Michael Parenti |

Venezuela is and has been a dictatorship. You're one of the few who doesn't know apparently.
But Morales has done a nice job, compare her results with the conservative experiment in Kansas and get back to me. ------------------------- “It is the heart of US policy to use fascism to preserve capitalism while claiming to be saving democracy from communism “ - Michael Parenti |

Evo Morales is a "he." For a "she", look to Brazil. At least once in a while, Nicaragua threatens to give socialism a good reputation. The Chávez-Morales governments have wrecked the Venezuelan national oil company, so production is declining despite huge reserves and the government needs very high market prices to generate enough foreign revenue to keep going. The government will probably have to stop energy subsidies to Caribbean countries soon. |

Senor Morales is a communist dictator and his country will go the way of all countries who have tried this. Chavez claimed the same improvements during the early part of his reign. Look at that basket case now. Remember, progs are always wrong. They are wrong here and I will, as always, get the last laugh. ------------------------- I :heart; Q |

But Morales has done a nice job, compare her results with the conservative experiment in Kansas and get back to me. Following closely? Tell me more about her. ---------------- FWIW, Bolivia never really had the great wealth gap that resource-rich neighboring countries have had. It's much easier when everyone starts at the same place, and the results always look better when that starting point is dirt poor. They are currently reaping the benefit of possessing one fourth of the world's identified lithium reserves. (Think lithium batteries.) If they mismanage it like Venezuela has with social policy tied to oil, they could wind up in a similar situation. |

Evo Morales hardly a dictator, like Chavez he was elected and faces a well funded and significant political opposition.

If the facts bother you, feel free to attack my mistake. It's fairly rare, so enjoy!
It's true that the success in Bolivia has only recently gotten my attention, but I think the results are worthy of note. Especially in light of the economic collapse of Kansas from it's far right economics experiment. ------------------------- “It is the heart of US policy to use fascism to preserve capitalism while claiming to be saving democracy from communism “ - Michael Parenti |
