I guess there was a copyright claim on the vid. How sad.
He was singing about dying, broken heart, then he collapse on stage. They continue to jam for about 5 mintues afterwards. Then carry him off the stage and the drapes close. |

Singing a Grateful Dead song when he passed. Lyrics:
Lyrics Without a warning you broke my heart, takin' it baby, tore it apart And you left me standin' in the dark, said your love for me was dyin' Come on baby, baby please come on baby, cause I'm on my knees Turn on your lights let it shine on me shine on your love light Let it shine on me let shine, let it shine, let it shine When I get lonely in the middle of the night And I need you darlin' to make things all right So come on baby, baby please and I'm beggin' you baby cause I'm on my knees, Turn on your lights let it shine on me Turn on your love light let it shine on me Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine Without a warning you broke my heart, takin' it baby, tore it apart And you left me standin' in the dark, shine your love for me was dark Come on baby, baby please come on baby, cause I'm on my knees Turn on your lights let it shine on me shine on your love light Let it shine on me let shine, let it shine, let it shine Written by Don Robey, Joseph W. 70 is young, but Bruce road life pretty hard. He never looked too healthy when I saw him live. Jon Fishman (who was also playing at the Fox that night) did a great writeup here http://phish.com/news/bruce-hampton/ As an aside, that 14-year old Taz is an unbelievably talented guitar player. It will be interesting to see his career develop. ------------------------- Sunlight splatters dawn with answers. |

I have seen him many, many times .... he was a legend in the Jam music scene, a mentor to many and a fixture at festivals ...... he will be missed.
Those of you that have a facebook account, check out former band mate & close friend Jeff Mosier's moving tribute. ------------------------- "Most people would die sooner than think; in fact, they do." - Bertrand Russell "Morality is doing what is right, regardless of what you are told.
