New season started, Brighton has gone up to the Premiership, so it's going to be a good year! Who do you support? How's that going for you? In our house we have Brighton, West Ham, and Arsenal. Oh yeah, and Watford, just because Marc's game sponsors them (if you're interested, the game is Football Manager). Best places to watch in Brevard? Meg's is one, but they are crowded.

Anywhere, everywhere, mostly in Florida. I'm slowing down a bit.

Leicester City fan. Yes it was a loss to Arsenal, but they popped in three goals. If they close the back up a bit, a trip into Europe might be possible.

I will be following Brighton too. I love the underdog!

I have yet to find a place worth a damn to watch matches.

Pub owner here.

When I'm back in my office balancing checkbooks and placing orders I get jealous at the folks watching Premier League. I know I'm missing out on something but don't know where to get started. Is there a Premier League for Dummies audiobook for me to get up to speed on the fun?

A quick rundown: The top four teams usually stay the top four teams; they spend the most and that gets them the best players, coaches, staff....

Teams 5 to 12 spend okay, but once they get a great player, they usually lose them in a year or two to another team that will pay more. These teams play great football and one of them usually challenges for the 4th place spot.

Teams 12 to 20 are usually battling to avoid being relegated. These are usually the best games of the season.

Here are a few details: The top four teams at the end of the season get to play in the Champions League the following season. This means big money if they do well. The Champions League consists of the top club teams in Europe; the best from Spain, Germany, Portugal, Italy and so on.

The bottom three teams at the end of the season get demoted to a lower league and the top three teams from that lower league get moved up to the Big Time the following year. It's a shame American baseball doesn't do the same thing.

Note: None of these are set in stone. Sometimes there are 5 or 6 top teams and sometimes miracles happen. Leicester City went from near regulation to winning the title the following year at 5000 to 1 odds. 5000 to 1 are the odds that Elvis is still alive and that Big Foot is real.

Dave, soccer fans , in a pub watching games can be challenging. However, if you let people know that you are showing more games on good quality screens, you will attract a crowd. We like to watch our teams together. ( with beer of course)

I'm an Orlando City fan. There is a supporters group in Brevard. Ruckus. You may see some purple shirts from time to time. Its a good group in general. I had a little problem with Ruckus when they went after a referee who is a friend of mine. But they got over it.

US men's national team have world cup qualifies coming up.

NBC is only running a hand full of games on the TV, it appears they no longer have the extra channels.

Moody, how do you guys watch online?

We use NBCsports.com/gold they have the premiership matches (you need a separate subscription). I think we'll just run the computer through the tv (or get an apple tv) and drop the directtv subscription since that's the only thing we watch on the big tv. Brighton lost again today - they need to play a team that doesn't quite have the pace. But I like Stoke, and we had a bit of a rivalry going on today when they beat Arsenal .

Yeah, man. I try to stay pretty impartial on NFL; I'll take anyone's money!

For NCAA football, it's still a really good mix of folks watching games, but, as a UCFer, both of my restaurants are the 'official' UCF football spots to watch away games.

Soccer hasn't really gained much traction so far, and I don't really know if being "THE" place to watch soccer matches is what we're going for, but we subscribe to all of the sports packages and would love to accommodate wherever we can.

I'd really like to be known as a place to get a great meal and a great drink. If your game is on TV, fantastic! I've found it a tough rope to walk, Gatropub vs Sportsbar. I'd like to be a happy medium, leaning towards Gastropub.

What was up with Arsenal's disorganized defense today? And felt really bad for Wenger in his press conference - tell me again, sir, in graphic detail, how you f'ed up. OTOH, Peter Crouch scored a pretty neat goal for Stoke. He was SO nice the one time I saw him that he'll always be a favorite.
