LOL Dr. Blease is the Orthopedic Trauma surgeon at Holmes and is well respected. My wife and I are Vets and Mrs. Dingpatch was rather pleased to find out that he is a former Special Forces medic, and is combat decorated with a Bronze Star. ------------------------- Dora Hates You

surftech Posts: 3029 Joined Forum: 07/25/2003	That was some fracture. We don't do many external fixators any more but we did one this week. I hope she heals quickly. Tell her to eat healthy and take vitamins to help speed healing.

SpeedyForfin Posts: 52 Joined Forum: 12/30/2016	Oh man. That is awful! My wife also broke her leg (tibia, fibula, ankle, 7 fractures in all with major lacerations just above the ankle) back in March. This seems quite similar. Most people cannot appreciate the full impact of something like this until you've actually lived it as it touches every aspect of your lives for an extended period of time. Please PM me if she wants to get in contact with someone who has just gone through someting similar. It helps. Good luck brother.
