any tips on removing my traction pad without screwing up my board? it's a brand new board i just put the pad too far forward, sucks but i had another pad lying around so i'll just redo it.

would using a blow dryer be bad for the board? what else will help me get it up?

a blow dryer would work on the low setting, just dont get it too close to the board for too long in any one spot. You can also use a plastic putty knife and goo gone or another similar citrus-based remover to break down the adhesive.

I used a wax comb and the sticky bumps wax remover stuff to get the adhesive off after i pulled the traction off. The sticky bumps stuff worked a lot better than the goo gone did. It just takes forever to get it all off.

Goo be gone. Get it at local auto supply store, works like a charm.

I had to get all of the adhesive off mine because part of the pad had come off and i surfed it like that for a few months which caused all the exposed adhesive to harden. I didnt want to risk the new pad from coming off because the hardened adhesive so i made sure i got all of it off. If the old adhesive on the board is still sticky i dont see why you couldnt just put the new one on over it ( granted ive never done that before so maybe it wont work). You may not even have to worry about the adhesive depending on the pad, I had a buddy who peeled off one of his that had been on for about a year and it came up clean adhesive and all.

Goo be gone works better if you let it heat up in direct hot sun. Made a by difference for me. Light getting wax off.

I know acetone/nail polish remover does a good job of dissolving super glue. But I dunno, might dissolve your topcoat too.
