JB: RE : What kind of Rum ? Did you not indeed start a Rum thread before ? I searched for it and could not find it ? As I recall you were referring too, proper sipping rum -----I was indulging in Botran N0 #8 from Guatemala . An excellent sipping rum indeed !

I have a new bottle of Botran I picked up in the duty free in El Salvador this July. I have been downing the new Costco Kirkland Select 15 year Panama rum. At 23 bucks a bottle, its the best deal in the world. I think its actually Abuelo. Kirkland Select now has another rum and its Pasa Del Oro XO Guatemalan rum. Same exact botlle even. 23 dollars instead of twice that for the name.

JB : I was first turned on to Botran well over 25 + years ago ---- At the Airport ,just as I was about to board the flight home from EL SAL . Small world indeed ! (They had it in its own light up display case ---for the last minute impulse buy . ) That would have been my 7th sojourn and my All time favorite trip ,stayed for an entire month . Scored epic Punta Roca day in and day out . And then spent the last 10 days over at Los Flores with endless perfect lines and swell .This was all way well before the " Cluster Fuck " crowds of today .
