Not sure but it appears Kelly is in the line up for the next WCT event.

His WSL feature on the wave is a strong hint he'll be there.
Not sure of the rules, but if he joins in at some point that probably means he will have to make the top 22 or so or this is it.
A quiet ending to a great career.
Not the ending we expected, but we'll see how that goes.
Reminiscent of Jimmy Connors in tennis.
Just saying.

He is listed on the Fantasy team roster for the first time since Snappers.

Griffin scored a full rotation with two very nice top turns. Great replay, 8.5 seemed a tad underscored.

The kid has a nice future.

i've kinda been thinking the same thing. basically halfway through the year and he's surfed 1 event. you could also argue he's earned the right to have a spot reserved for him, but it seems like someone else on the bubble could have racked up some points to solidify a spot on tour with these 4(?) events he's already missed. although i would rather see him surf than another no name brazzo.

To him it was probably "be part of a historic moment in surfing and possibly get the greatest wave of his life.... or surf another contest"

It's already pretty clear he doesnt give a shit:

Aligning himself with a brand that most surfers couldn't / wouldnt buy

Surfboard company popping them out in Thailand

Wavepools

I agree with this move though... cant fault a surfer for chasin the best wave he can

Griffin takes down an in form Wilko with a massive punt. This kid has the goods. He got that wave under Wilko's priority. He's the real deal.

Also, JJF goes down in the 3rd round. ???

Such a great contest.  Been watching each night.   Paddle battle between Jordy and Gabby last night was dirty dirty fun!

Caroline Marks is getting better, watch out world!

I hear you, but Griffin is fresh and innovative and worth the watch. 19 years young, and got on the tour earlier than Ke11y. Caroline is a mighty might, and I find both her and Griffin as the best things going.

Jordy and Bourez looking strong. Actually it'll be Bourez vs. Griffin in the quarters.

Enjoy.
