From this mornings news, not sure how much surfing is done these days in that area. I've only been there once myself. Of course it's on secured KSC property, just not sure of how big the cone will extend during a landing. If it will include public property or not I don't know. VERY cool to watch I bet!

 

Florida Today "As outlined in KSC’s master plan, the new landing pad could be built near the northern end of the spaceport’s secure perimeter — north of pad 39B and south of State Road 402 leading to Canaveral National Seashore's Playalinda Beach."
