I believe Mez or Dugan has an aerial shot of it during a hurricane swell several years ago. Nice novelty but the beach replenishment points are the big news up this way...

jim_at_13th Posts: 73 Joined Forum: 10/07/2003	We were on the island today. You drive or hike out to Cape Point, then wade across at low tide. Pretty amazing, shells, sea glass, cool little tide pools. It was super small with a north wind today, but I got a couple on the north side and my daughter and her friend did some little peelers at the southwest corner of the new island. I imagine it's going to break pretty good on a small swell. Only downside, the corner where the island appeared was a prime surf fishing spot in the fall. I guess if the island stays, you could gear up a kayak or SUP and fish the south side of the new island.
