"You're viewing the latest Cam Rewind clip. To ensure the most secure and
stable surf feeds live streaming is no longer supported on Internet Explorer when
using Windows 7
. Cam streams can still be viewed on Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox"

And of course at work, on the Cape, where we support and process secret spy satellites,
launch rockets and work with NASA and the USAF, we have all the latest and greatest technology...

... using Windows 7 Enterprise.

Nah all the new builds are Windows 10. Have been for a while now.

Edit: To be clear if you are an ACES user.

I am not, but my team's builds have been windows 10 for a long time

Yeah Windows..... what more people are going to since Apple sold out. Microsoft and Apple completely swapped places. Apple went proprietary and away from standards and open source, Microsoft went towards them.

I'm not an Apple fan either (other than loving my iPad), but how did Microsoft go "towards open source" and when was Apple anything but proprietary?

Speaking as a software engineer...

Apple products used to adhere to industry standards and Microsoft was the one you would have to code special exceptions for. Now the exact opposite is true.

Microsoft has been shifting towards open source and Apple has been shifting away. Though to be fair, Microsoft is rapidly shifting.

Its like when Jobs died, Apple lost its vision. Of course now we are completely off topic for the surfing forum.

Edit: And I love my iPad and iPhone, but Apple is still the devil

Speaking of Surfline Cams. My Sebastian Inlet Cam no longer rotates through the different angles. Anyone else notice this?

I've never written any code for either Macs nor Windows in my 20+ years as a SWE.

Real software runs on some flavor of Unix, mostly Linux these days.

Not really true anymore, though that was true 15-20 years ago.

Besides, nobody should write code specific to a mac or windows machine these days anyways unless very very specific to the OS or device... and even then.

Yeah, super interesting but what's the "Vaseline" app used to muddy up the lens on the Pelican cam?

Asking for a friend.

If that's the case, you should thank me since I posted it.

Thank you daner.

But you should "thank me" for letting you know it was fixed,
as Charlie H. sent me the email letting me know he fixed it.
(It was locked for a Facebook live session and never restarted.
Charlie took care of the issue.)
