So is this a buoy that is no longer going to be funded by NOAA?

I would assume they would retreive the buoy as to either deploy elsewhere or sell to a private company.

Station 41010 went adrift on 08/15/2016 and the last report from its moored position was at 1750Z. The buoy has been retrieved 08/20/2016.
