crazy how lucky quiksilver got with those waves. This was the year that Kelly and Owen Wright won like 2 each back to back right? and this event knocked Cj off tour when they had the mid-year cutoff fiasco.

Ke11y really launched that air 360 ... CJ quickly got back on tour but not before JJF and Gabriel came in mid season.

My how time flies ... just a few billing cycles and there goes 5 years.

Especially considering how much $$$ Quiksilver put up for that contest's winnings.

Not to mention, Quik getting skunked by the storm and having to cancel all their concerts and other outdoor events because of the storm.. 

But most importatly, this was the event where Bobby Martinez lost his mind on camera and cursed out the ASP. 

Damn those waves look fun.
