It's not much of a video, but Cunningham was the guest of honor for a ceremony at the Biarritz coastal rescue club, which teaches surf rescue skills.  

The water's apparently 56 F, waves 4 meters (about 13 feet), air probably cool, and I count at least 5 swimmers near the rock, presumably young club members. How many places are there where there'd be people swimming around and bodysurfing under expert conditions? 

Lots of surfing videos from the area, not many bodysurfing.
