Emirates.  Mostly between Aug 1 and Dec. 15, some thru April.

Check other airlines--Google shows Delta has bargains for Cape Town, and it's possible to get to Maldives for $960 in Sept. (United, Austrian)

Can anyone confirm not having any issues with board bag fees? If any?

Here's their baggage policy.  No bags (presumably including boards) over 300 cm/9.8 ft.

I have used emirates several times, 9ft bag no problem and free, the bad is they changed there policy about 3-months ago, I have not used them under the new policy. I think the policy is you need to call them and let them know how big your board bag is and they will tell you if there is room on the plane. Big planes should be no problem call first though. Sorry not real helpful.
