Hey everybody! Matts stepdad here...just wanted to thank everybody for all the kindness shown to us as Matt recovers. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support in our community...all the visits, words of encouragement, food, donations of not only money but also help and support in so many different ways...it has been incredible to experience it. We are truly humbled and thankful! Matt has always been a great example of 'pay it ahead' and it is coming back to him in so many ways now that the chips are down! Karma is an amazing thing indeed! God Bless you all and see you in the water!

HI EVERYONE....This is Matt's Mom posting.... Want to echo Kerm's post. During the last four months we have faced so many challenges......we have never faced them ALONE! First, God is with us.....then he sent sooooo many of you to minister to us. I never want this tragedy to happen to another human being........but I wish everyone had the opportunity to experience the powerful friendship we have from all of you. Thank you!! Matt is making an awesome recovery. Arms, hands are coming back strong (you know what that means.....he might take your wave some day :>) He gave me my first hug today.....was the most wonderful 'Mom' moment I could ever imagine! Matt is practicing holding a book in his lap, so that when he is allowed to see his son....he will be able to read to him!! if you have not been by to see him....please do.....if you have, thank you and please, please come again!
