It does not matter to MAGAts if he broke the law or is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. They know he is. Their understanding of this starts with the that everyone breaks the law, very few get prosecuted and therefore Trump's prosecution is political and unfair. They don't care that he did everything he was accused of, they start with the idea charges were brought by people who hated Trump so they cannot be "fair" or just. (Only people that love Trump can bring charges against him in a way that they can trust. It's lost on the meathead MAGAts that people who love him forgive him, the blame the messenger argument always works for them and double standards are no problem as long as you are willing to yell louder and longer in front of a sympathetic crowd).

This is why the facts don't matter the MAGAts. They start with result first and then blame the messenger, engage is whataboutisms and false equivalents, complain Trump is the victim of larger, sinister and more powerful forces and then pretend that any accountability is really just a referendum on how you feel about Trump. If the MAGAts know how you feel about Trump, they know how the outcome. That sleight of hand allows Trump and his audience to claim it's not what Trump has done, it's who he is. See how that works?

True- trying to hold a reasonable conversation with a magagagger is like watching a top spin.
