Just for information, The EPA has responsibility and authority to enforce environmental laws. If a State can demonstrate that its laws are equivalent to, or more protective than Federal requirement, the State can be granted Primacy. Florida, through FDEP, has been granted Primacy in many program areas including drinking water, waste water and protection of surface and ground water. Should the State fail in its responsibility, the EPA steps back in. ------------------------- add a signature since I'm here in profile anyway |
