Nothing to see here folks, move along, the Carrier deal is business as usual, it's just that the Tangerine Dream is making a publicity stunt out of it and his supporters are acting like he's doing something novel.
Look no further than right here in town for the same shenanigans. MC Assembly of Palm Bay did the exact same thing with Brevard and your tax dollars. Threatened Mexico move if they didn't get some $$ and lo and behold they got their tax breaks.

Give these people jobs or we are taking away your defense contracts.
That's the kind of stunt that Johnson pulled in Huntsville.

The bottom line here is that Trump saved these jobs where the PiC could not. In other words, Trump has proven successful and rubbed it in the face of the PiC and progs everywhere. And, not surprisingly, the progs are acting out. As cultists, they cannot psychologically accept that we are right and they are wrong.
And, thank goodness, they are too stupid to realize that by whining and grouching over Trump saving American jobs, they are making people hate them even more. And as we saw from the election, the vast majority of normal people hate them quite a bit as it is.

It is legal, but it is a scam. These financial tricks are a huge part of what's killing the US economy.
Pure economic ignorance there. You should realize that shareholders own the company. They own the company and, therefore, have a right to some part of the company's earnings. What you stated is saying that a business owner commits a shady practice by giving himself a piece of the business' income. The economic ignorance on the part of progs is truly astounding. I guess it shouldn't be given that ignorance is one of the characteristics of a prog.

Trumpablo, I see you are acting out against Trump's open use of Socialism.
Wait a second, you aren't acting out, you are agreeing with it!
Good for you. Maybe there is hope for you after all!

Just because you "have a right to some part of the company's earnings, doesn't mean it isn't irresponsible to take as much as you legally can.
Consider the 449 companies in the S&P 500 index that were publicly listed from 2003 through 2012. During that period those companies used 54% of their earnings - a total of $2.4 trillion - to buy back their own stock, almost all through purchases on the open market. Dividends absorbed an additional 37% of their earnings.
Do the math. What's left over for reinvesting, growing, and rewarding employees?
Here is the biggest problem with the US economy: Greedy, elitist pigs.
It's not taxes. It's not regulations. With the exception that the small businesses pay an unfair share and are subject to tougher regulations, while the Too Bigs get special treatment, which brings us back to Carrier's bribe, I mean "incentives." Pass the Grey Poop on.

You are wrong 3rd. I have a right to take as much profits out of my company as I want. My business, my profits. Now, that isn't to say that you rape your employees. You don't get ahead in the end doing that. But, you don't overpay them either. That will cost you in the end as well.
I suspect that I am wasting my time writing this. But, I will give it a shot. I invested money in a small business last year, one in Indiatlantic that, fortunately, is doing very well. A large percentage of new, small businesses fail. Thus, I took a big risk in putting my capital into that business, as I might have lost every penny of it. I would not have done that if I had no signifiicant upside. Would have left the money in the bank. That business now has 3 employees, all of whom are getting minimum wage. Each of them will have a chance to earn more in the future. They get paid every week. But I get paid my share every month. Now let me ask you something. Who should benefit more from the success of the business? The one who started the business, hired those employees and has a substantial amount of money at risk, or the ones who have a job only because I took that risk? Would the employees have been better off if I had not taken the risk and were unemployed instead?

Having the "right" and "being right" are two different things.

The unemployment rate is lowest in 9 years, lots of jobs created and saved. Ask the folks in the auto industry. From the election we see that the majority likes the Progressives. We can also tell that the majority approves of President Obama. That's what it means when your approval rating is over 50%.

So, $7 Million Tax Break to supposedly save Carrier jobs are coming from the state of Indiana.
Then jobs of some unfortunate people or projects in Indiana have to be sacrificed to come up with the $7 million. Right?
