I will ask the flounder the same question.
I would also like to know why we didn't catch a single dolphin while tuna fishing (3 different trips) on the other side? ------------------------- I was right. |

I'm not seeing any Cobia out of my friends boats, but they sure are slaying the Wahoo out there.

I'm not seeing any Cobia out of my friends boats, but they sure are slaying the Wahoo out there. I'd take a hooter over a cobia! Saw the head boats have been getting a few fat blackfin on their trips even the half days which only go out what 15 miles!? If you like sushi a fat blackfin and some lanes and mangoes would be worth the price of admission! ------------------------- I troll 2L.com to be a better person in real life |

20 to 25 miles most of the time. The 21 ridge if conditions are right, but they usually hang around the Cones about 25 out.
A few whoppers get caught every year on 8A and Pelican Flats (15 miles out) but it's not real common. ------------------------- I was right. |

You guys get world class action if you hit it right. Not to mention the Bee-liners stacked on the reefs in the winter. We are pretty much hit or miss no matter what and don't really have Vermilion snapper.

100%. A Part of why our fishing is so good is the work it takes to get them

Too cold off of Cocoa Beach for them now. Ft Pierce maybe? A friend that fishes down there said they are on bull sharks near the "boil" and other public wrecks ------------------------- I troll 2L.com to be a better person in real life |

We got some good ones last year off the Bulls just north of there. There were giant sharks everywhere, that was cool in itself.

I'm not seeing any Cobia out of my friends boats, but they sure are slaying the Wahoo out there. Ran out to try and get them last monday.... and got our asses kicked! The ledge was 3-5 and short period (took one freak wave over the bow on a 36 Cape Horn)..... so no Hoos high speeding.... I did jig up on decent cobe off a wreck on the way out dang if its rough in that boat god save the queen! we always try to high speed first, seems the bite is best early and slows down by 0800-0900, unless you can find bait up high in the column for what its worth. ------------------------- I troll 2L.com to be a better person in real life |

Ha, yeah, us too..... but we stopped around the 20mile mark to "test" the waters as it was already way bumpier coming out the inlet than expected. I got one cobia pretty quick, but that was it..... didnt seem too bad, so we decided to push east. Once we got to the ledge it was a different ball game.....

Birds and launching sharks all over outside of Patrick yesterday. I'm not sure what they are eating, but it was pretty rad.

They will prolly get pushed back south with this next round of north that's right around the corner...and he'll with the winds and sun seeming never wanting to help out with a boat on the smaller side..I sit and wait for my window of chance to blaze out and keep that head on a swivel...
