I pulled off a doormat last night.... Thought I was snagged on oysters.... then pulled in my saltwater assassin almost bit in half

Flounder seriously suck. I can boat a 25 pound grouper from 175 feet of water, but can't manage a flounder that's sitting at my feet.

So long and thanks for all the fish.

Ditto! I've literally never caught a flounder and have put in many hours trying to catch them. I once sat with a buddy at the inlet for prob 4 hours and watched him reel in four flounder to my ZERO. Then the next day he went with someone else and that guy standing on same rock I was casting from landed a ten pounder.. I just gave up after hearing that.

I get too wound up. A flask might be in order on my next attempt.

What a good and lucky recipe for flounder tonic?

Nope, wasn't me. It's too damn hot and weird at Inlet for me to hit it up right now.

Snook are weird, Tarpon aren't there and the weeds are so hit and miss it's enough to make me want to jump in and drift out to sea.
