We went 2 weeks ago, crack of dawn, fished for 6 hours, only 2 fish, Stick Marsh/Farm Pond 13.

Can't wait for the fall and cooler weather.

Went yesterday Stick Marsh/FP13, I got 1 bass about 3 lbs lost at the boat (RattleTrap)

My buddie got 3, 8lb 4oz, 6lb 8oz and 4lb, all on large swimbait.

He also caught a catfish on a squarebill, blue or channel catfish?

Friend's bag isn't bad for hot season. No blues in Stick Marsh/F13. There are whites, channels, brown bullheads, and yellow bullheads in St. Johns waters. Whites are more abundant than channels in the impoundments I think. I used to catch channel cats on artificial baits on the James River back home, usually spoons or grubs when fishing for smallies. It's mostly white catfish that I catch on artificials down here. They really seem to like white skirted spinner baits.

Yeah scombrid, he had an exceptional day.

The catfish was good size and it wasn't brown colored, light grayish sounds about right.

PS - The 8lb 4oz was his personal best.

Wow that would be my personal best! I'm stoked when they are over 3 lbs!

Yes definitely looking forward to cooler weather!

We went Thursday and dodged (sometimes) rain squalls.

Fished Farm Pond 13.

2 fish, one on swim bait, the other on a junebug plastic worm.

2 and 3 pounds.

Disappointing.

Water in Garcia was 62 degrees at 9 AM on Friday. 63 is not a bad temp for bass fishing. But their active period during a given day is going to be shorter and if they put the feed bag on they might sit and digest for a couple of days in cooler weather. Sometimes best to wait until the later part of the day when the water in a shallow lake might be 63 in the morning but pushing 70 in the shallows on a south facing exposure.

Arrgh! Monday Went to the "other side" stickmarsh/farm 13 and caught a handful of small fish. Was extremely frustrating. If I had not known its reputation or caught so many fish last year. I would say this place is a bust. Not sure what is going on?! I can see fron social media etc. People are catching them. Was a beautiful day though...

Water has been 63 to 72 depending on location, depth and sun. I am finding roaming fat girls in transiton areas from super densw to sparser grass. Lots of beds and some are hot. Eel grass or hydrilla are best, then look for mats with clumps of stuff stuck to it. Punch that ,stuff swim baits or topwaters over and around the dense grass. Over 300 in 4 days, lots of 6 to 8 lbers, and 3 I couldnt stop. Fish slow and repeat cast to bedding areas. Good luck

Sometimes, alot of bucket listers want a trophy or cannot cast all day, I prefer fooling over feeding, but whatever the customer prefers

I do a lot of remote airboating for work, but figured it would spook the fish, will they still bite is a confined area after the noise?
