Trump has appointed a committee to figure out what an entirely new and different FEMA might do, presumably with no money to hand out. The head guy just resigned, so don't expect an effective FEMA this summer and fall.

Pay federal income tax, but get nothing in return? Sorry, but I'd rather have services for those in need over tax cuts for the top ten percent.

With the amount of overhead, inefficiency, and incompetence pervading gov't programs you are already getting closer to nothing. Now you just don't have to pay for it (as much). If the US gov't was rated how charities are ($'s spent on the specific intent vs overhead/inefficiency) then specific programs like FEMA would be ranked dead last. That's bad.

Says who?

There are 65 million people on Medicare and 74 million on Social Security. At that number, incompetence would render them useless. Both run relatively smoothly, well they did anyway, so where are you getting your information?

Time to take it to NSR. And, Cole, don't waste your time debating facts. It is a cult.

I'm sorry, what were you saying?

DOGE Fires Operative After He Admits the Government Was Already Pretty Efficient

Sahil Lavingia, a tech founder and erstwhile software engineer with Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), revealed in a recent blog post that he had "gotten the boot" from the agency after telling Fast Company last month that the federal workforce had turned out to be way more efficient than he anticipated

Social Security is a pyramid scheme that at the current rate will run out of money long before I get any of the money I put into it back. Debating facts is the only way to argue but I've noticed alot of people here arguing with emotion and not facts. This thread is case in point.

Also that guy you stated said "the federal workforce had turned out to be way more efficient than he anticipated" went on to say: "he also said working up close with the VA taught him that, while it was slow like a giant enterprise, it still "works" (notice he said nothing of efficiency, only that it's slow) And then, "But he was surprised to discover facets like seniority and the person's veteran status (this was the VA, after all) determined who could be targeted. Performance could be factored in lower on the list, in Lavingia's view" (notice he flat out says performance is no where near the top of the list when considering job status, typical gov't processes here aka not efficient) Is this really the example you want to use for an efficient gov't program?

After watching Trumps's 50+ million dollar disaster of a cringe-"perade", it is abundantly clear that this admin and their billionaire drug addicts couldn't pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel.

So get back to us with your "facts" when we're not talking about the stupidest people to ever be in the Whitehouse..

Social Security is a pyramid scheme

Actually, it isn't.
