On the campaign trail he made so many bullshit promises, including negotiating a peace deal between Ukraine and the neo-soviets dozens of times. He even said only he knew how to talk to them.

Well, yeah...no.

Last month he said he was joking...that he was being a little bit sarcastic.

But this is all theatre. Trump is pretending to care about death and war and stopping this war. Since when did Trump give a shit about the hundreds of thousands of civilians murdered in Ukraine? In the coming weeks, trump will grandly declare that neither side wanted to end the war and his generous offer to mediate was refused. What happens next is really bad for Ukraine. Trump removes all US military intelligence and financial aid. Europe cannot fill that giant vacancy and Trump watches from the White House as Putin murders his way to victory. China watches with delight as they formalize their invasion plans for Taiwan and NATO comes to grip with the reality that Trump will not honor his treaty obligations as the neo Soviet Union swells its borders. The X factor in all of this is when Putin or Trump dies.
