Wild story coming out of Lebanon.
Apparently Hamas was relying on beepers to ditch cellphone risks but Israel was still able to unleash a coordinated attack that simultaneously detonated hundreds killing at least eight people and injuring the Iranian ambassador.

However Mossad did it, whether by software overloading the lithium battery or by actual physical placement of an explosive device into each pager, that was pretty impressive.
From a trade-craft point of view they deserve huge kudos.

I doubt that they really care, but I hope they didn't get any innocents...especially children.

Brutal, but someone arranged to manufacture all those pagers with tiny explosive charges and detonators.

Pagers yesterday, walkie-talkies today.

They did a good job disrupting their current communications methods.
Some would have wanted to exploit the ability to intercept the messages and communications as they will figure out a new method now.
But the psychological impact is great.
