I was right.

Our government will never be able to meet all the needs of all the people, especially in a timely manner. This country was built on self-reliance, but I will certainly add teamwork (not socialism) to that.

When the government fails to provide, people are right to take things into their own hands. The "desire" for "freedom to engage in consumptive and productive behaviors without restriction even if it's risky" does need to be balanced against the risk. But it's not all "desire" -- much of it is necessity.

Trump could have been a much more influential and productive leader rather than contrarian, and voluntary teamwork would have prevailed.

With modern technology and productivity we have more than enough capacity to meet the needs of everyone. Instead people go hungry while unsold food is thrown away into locked dumpsters.
