That's a Human Resources ploy. He's trying to claim that he's a member of a protected class for employment discrimination litigation. That's why the commissioner asked if he would be claiming to be a woman next. I actually am friends with this douche bags attorney. He too was a cop and then went to law school. The irony is that the misfits in the union always on the verge of being fired have gotten educated to the point of having a de facto law degree in employment law. They are very well versed in the grievance process and the many ways that it can be short circuited. Once they are in Internal Affairs, none of the testimony in there can ever be used any other case, and by that I mean criminal perjury cases. It's such a stacked deck.
