But it's worse than that really, because the party is loyal to the party before the country, so either party will actively try to undermine anything that the other party tries do to improve things for the country at large.

And because the two parties each represent a minority of citizens, we're stuck in a negative feedback loop that will most likely lead to steady decline of the material conditions for working people, or at worst, end in fascism.

What is AOC's political party?

As of late, I think she's in the "let them eat cake" party.

She is a registered Democrat is she not?

If she blocks the bipartisan infrastructure bill over the $3 trillion partisan only, she won't survive the next election. Some people never learn.

Kind of.....but the neo-libs are against ANY progress that could harm the legacy of Barack Obama. Obama was the President of "Sorry, folks....but that's just the best we can do. (In best Barack Obama voice possible)" And that is in relation to everything. It applies to the economy, jobs, healthcare, the border, energy prices, you name it. That was his deal. He was the President of those jobs aren't coming back and you are just going to have to deal with your new shitty normal.

Because of this, his legacy is threatened by basically anything that proves him wrong. People to the right of him threaten him when it comes to the border and the economy (in the absence of novel coronaviruses). He also doesn't want anyone to the left of him to actually make any progress on issues like healthcare or improving the lives of the poor.

The Barack Obama wing of the Dem party, who basically installed Joe Biden, a dead guy, as President will not let anything improve unless everyone knows that their fingerprints are all over it and nobody else's.

So she better play ball with the party or else? Seems you're making my point.

But it's notable that she defeated a long time establishment Dem in the first place, and got primaried by another establishment Dem last time around. The Dem elite will try to get rid of her any way they can, she embarrasses them by trying to get them to live up to the fake ass campaign promises they make. For that, one might fairly call her naïve; or she's perhaps she's been compromised and will play ball like a nice party Democrat.

The neo-lib twats care far more about their power and legacies than they ever have about doing anything good for the country or its people.

Unfortunately, they have also made a bunch of stupid people, some of which are on this board, feel like they are on the team but its a real small club and I can guarantee that none of the dipshits on this board are actually in it.

its a real small club

YOU MAKE THE CALL:

Hypothetical situation Snipes,

You're in Palm Beach, exhausted, dehydrated and in need of defecating. You were in the water all day.

You walk by Mar-A-Lago and see ex-president Qrump chipping golf balls on the Schlago lawn.

You cry out "President Qrump I need help, I am dehydrated and have a tremendous bowel movement coming on, I am your biggest fan, can I use the groundskeepers outhouse?".

Does Qrump let you into Mar-A-Schlago?

You can say that with a straight face and not realize it applies equally if not more so to trumpists, especially in your second paragraph?

Yup. Example No. 1: Russiagate
At this point, it seems that over 95% of Washington knew early on that the majority of the bullshit being pushed in the investigation wasn't true, yet they continued to dupe the majority of their constituents for years. It went on for 3-4 years, wasted millions of dollars, and countless hours of time. It further divided the country and for what? It helped the neo-lib's from a power perspective. Did lying to their constituents for years hurt them? Hell no. The dipshits who think they are in the club don't mind being made fools of, as long as it helps their masters.

Most of the people on the left didn't sign up for that shit.

Speaking of keeping the cash flowing, a former Rand Paul spokesman, Jesse Benton - who was pardoned by T'rump for campaign finance crimes stemming from work on the Ron Paul presidential campaign - was indicted on 9/9/21 for "conspiring to illegally funnel thousands ($100,000) of foreign money from a Russian foreign national" into the 2016 T'rump campaign.

Like what?

But hell, if you can explain why a dozen Trump people were in contact with Russians in the first place, I'll be good with that.

Russiagate? Oh right, the conspiracy bunch thinks the other side believes in conspiracies.

Apathy brought us Qrump.

Bernie is a known jack a$$ narcissist and anyone diggin him is missing who he is. AOC will mature and possibly learn to work things out. The QOP is the QOP and they bite.

What's left is America. And America won out in 2020.

It's a fact that the Russians actively used their state misinformation apparatus to help trump. What couldn't be proven beyond a reasonable doubt is that the trump people were in on it. That's a pretty weak position to suggest Russia was a hoax. It wasn't.

What the left was and is critical of was the Dems trying to keep in the news cycle and inflate it beyond what it was. But the GOP has taken far less and run with it to try and achieve the same thing.

You keep throwing out bipartisan shady tactics and making like the Dems are the only ones that use them. You're completely ignoring the fouls your team commits.

@Cole - let me know when Biden takes up student debt reform or single payer healthcare. He campaigned on those things and controls both Congress and the WH. If AOC blocks an typically watered down "compromise" where the Dems and Pugs both make sure all the usual suspects can wet their beak in the infrastructure bill, then so be it. This is the American system and you keep trying to pretend it's not broken beyond repair.

Yes, they 100% did. Absolute fact that the Trump cult refuses to acknowledge. The sad thing is that so many of these self proclaimed "patriots" actively and willingly assisted Russia and other foreign actors with their misinformation campaigns. The amount of vitriol and hate people received for pointing it out to them too. Like a pack of hungry, mildly retarded, sharks whenever you pointed out a meme they were spreading originated from Russia.

Yes. This. (Rusty and Riddle's posts above)
The Russians are not our friends.
They are very much against the USA and have used/are using tools and assets to divide and disrupt the USA in every way possible.
They are very good at this.

A significant segment of our population unwittingly helps them.
That is just FK'ing sad.

We gotta stop feeding the bear.

You guys talking about the $160K that Russia paid for Facebook ads coming from all sides again?

You realize that the Clinton campaign paid a law firm, who then paid an ex-British spy $10M, which he then paid to Russians for disinformation? Then said disinformation was used to start a shit-storm that you guys still haven't recovered from, right? Okay, cool. There's your Russian collusion to influence the election.

Everyone should have known it was bullshit immediately when we found out the dossier was fake and nobody gave a shit. The Clinton campaign paid $10M for some bullshit and probably used some of you neo-libs' campaign contributions to do it. NOBODY was mad. Why? Because it served its purpose. All of them would do it all over again if they got the opportunity. The truth doesn't matter. Just create the shit-storm and hype it up as long as necessary.
