Maricopa County Board Issues Defiant Response To Audit Subpoenas

Election officials in Maricopa County, Arizona issued a confrontational response to election audit subpoenas by the state's Senate. In a letter on Monday, Maricopa Board Chairman Jack Sellers claimed the 2020 election was "over" and asserted it was "free" and "fair."

Sellers failed to address the Senate's requests to turn in routers and voting machines for forensic examination. He also threatened legal action in case the audit revealed any fraud or wrongdoing by Maricopa officials.

Arizona GOP chair Kelly Ward said Sellers's response was unacceptable and vowed he would be held to account for such blatant defiance of legal subpoenas.

"All passwords, access keys and tokens required to examine the tabulating machines be turned over to the Arizona state Senate by August 2," she explained. "Maricopa County said they don't have access to those tokens, they don't have those passwords. Only their election vendor does."

Dominion Voting Systems issued a similarly defiant response to the state senate subpoenas the same day. State senators have been expected to hold Maricopa officials in contempt over their obstruction of the audit.

Kelly Ward is the AZ GOP Chairman.

She has no prosecutorial power and, here, speaking about the Board of Elections, her opinion carries as much weight as any other citizen.

The Republican overseeing the controversial GOP-backed election audit in Arizona has reportedly been banned from entering the building where the recount process is ongoing, after he shared some data with experts that showed the results match the officially certified numbers in Maricopa County.

The Arizona Republic reported on Friday evening that Ken Bennett, Arizona's former Secretary of State who has been described as the audit's "director," was barred from entering the building on the state fairgrounds where the audit is moving forward. The newspaper reported that Bennett had shared some of the audit data with outside experts showing that the ballot recount was tracking "very closely" with Maricopa County's certified results.

What a conundrum. Maricopa County Election Supervisors (all Republicans and one Democrat) say they don't have the stuff that was requested, only Dominion has it. And, further adding to the drama is AZ GOP Chair Kelly Ward who wants the Election Supervisors arrested.

So, like I said, if the Ninjas had a hair of evidence they would be taking a microscope to it and blowing it up all over OANN and Newsmaxxx.
