I have pointed to Facebook pages of MTG types and the response is usually "well, that's extreme, that's not us". Well, they elected her and Trump hailed her as a shining rising star in the Party. Thing is, the establishment has encouraged them for years now, embracing any "anti-government" rhetoric they come up with no matter how divorced from reality. The mainstream Republicans did nothing to push back against the DHS Bullet conspiracy theories and FEMA coffin hoaxes in 2009 and 2010. They did nothing against the birthers. Hell, the GOP has embraced Dr. Mercola and Mike Adams "The Health Ranger" of Natural News (and its dozens of self promoting mirror sites). You never see a mainstream Republican leader telling people that are spouting bullshit from NaturalNews.com that they are wrong. Nope, they pat them on the head and humor them. With the current Big Lie they soft pedal and say "Oh, we aren't trying to overturn the election we are just answering to our constituent's concerns about election security". Really? Then why don't you tell your constituents that JH Pulitzer is a fucking scammer rather than holding him up as an "Election Security Expert"? And on and on.
