The more important thing to look at here is whether or not Biden's proposed executive actions will actually make any kind of meaningful difference or if they are just red meat for the Cole's of the world.

Ban on "ghost-guns". Why not just ban people with felonies from owning 3-D printers. We all know they have them. Just look in their garages. I bet you can go through some of the worst neighborhoods in the country and find 3-D printers capable of printing functional firearms in 3/4 of the houses. Some of the really backwoods criminals are even whittling the guns out of hardwoods in their garage.

Forcing people to register AR pistols as SBRs. The people with money will just pay it. Are you guys ready to follow through on prosecuting ALL the people who refuse to pay for the stamp? Out of the roughly 10,000 gun homicides we see each year, only around 500 of them can be attributed to people shooting rifle rounds.

Background check "loophole" closure. You can't buy a gun online and have it shipped directly to your house. You have to have it shipped to registered firearms dealer, who is already required to run a background check on you before transferring the firearm to you. Maybe you think gun shows are a good place to pick up a firearm without having to fill out any paperwork or have a background check. Well, gun shows are crawling with federal agents, so it might be doable but I don't think anyone is going to recommend it.

The majority of the crime is happening in inner-cities and with handguns. There is no way the Democrats are going to do anything to call this out or shine a spotlight on the areas that are most impacted. They have pretty much all been under Dem control for decades. Instead, he will throw some red meat to his idiots to make them think he is doing something. Meanwhile, nothing he is doing will result any meaningful changes.

Pop the champagne, idiots. Take a victory lap for a few new rules that will only result in more minorities being locked up for illegal weapons but won't do anything to curb the gun violence you are so concerned about. Bravo.

and the village MORON doesn't know what a spring and clip does to that 'collapsible' stock...because he's a fucking IDIOT!

and OH WAIT......

The village MORON surely doesn't have a clue about how a bump stock actually works....and can be done with a simple rubber band!

Maybe the FOOL might learn something!

My bet...HELL NO!

You don't 3D print a ghost gun

And then they get an in-depth background check if they register, or they risk federal prison. The AR is mass murder weapon of choice. A concealable one is that much more dangerous.

You can buy whatever you want face to face, just look on FL Gun Trader website.

No gun laws are going to impact the primary driver of inner city crime which is poverty. Fundamental economic reform is needed, but neither party is interested in changing the material conditions of the underclass. We're too busy cutting corporate taxes and giving away $715,000,000,000 to the defense industries.

You just said that minorities prefer handguns. Restrictions on bump stocks and AR "pistol" SBR's hits square in the middle of the digital camo underoo wearing crowd.

Most criminals don't know what a "ghost gun" is. Do you honestly think "ghost guns" are used in the majority of crimes and homicides? This is a backdoor way of going after parts manufacturers and you absolutely can 3D print a usable firearm that would not have a serial number.

Not everyone is going to register their AR pistols as SBRs if that is what Biden's handlers instruct him to do.

I never said minorities prefer handguns. I don't know what people enjoy shooting but the facts are that the overwhelming majority of crimes, like 90-95%+, are committed by people using handguns. The media loves to rail against the big scary guns that they don't understand for multiple reasons but mainly because talking about the handgun being used in inner cities each week doesn't really fit the narrative they are going for.

The great thing about the United States is that you are free to go live as a socialist or communist without even leaving the country. Plenty of people have done it. Find some like-minded people and setup shop in Oregon or California. Share what you make and what you grow. Share your wife with the leader. Maybe do piles of drugs with people who's names are really Jennifer and Chad but they demand that you refer to them by their newly adopted trail-name versus their given slave-names.

Do as you wish but leave my money and effort out of it.

I think you brought up ghost guns, not me. I'm indifferent about them, just pointing out your error. It may be theoretically possible to 3D print a firearm that with ostensibly function briefly, but ghost guns refers to unfinished lowers with no serial numbers. Still legal, so get yours before uncle Joe denies you. That is, if you have the skill to complete one.

If people don't register their SBR that fine, but they risk losing all their guns, and the legal right to purchase a firearm, and maybe their virginity in a federal prison. Choose wisely.

The reason AR pattern rifles get the attention is because they fire a military caliber cartridge from a high capacity magazine and have become the go to weapon for right wing terrorists and mass murderers.

So, the people with money will register their AR as an SBR. Who do you think is going to be going to prison because of it for not registering theirs?

Again, murders using rifle calibers nationwide account for about 500 of the 10,000 gun deaths in 2019, or roughly 5%. I guess the right wing terrorists and mass murderers get a lot more attention. So far in Chicago this year 795 people have been shot. Hardly any of them were shot with rifle calibers and none of you seem to care at all about them.

I guess maga anti-government types. We'll find out perhaps.
Or they'll bury them in backyards everywhere and dogs will be digging them up and robbing butcher shops.

LOL, that is pretty funny.
The cost for a tax stamp is less than a few boxes of ammo in today's market, so it really isn't that expensive.

But, if they do declare arm brace pistols to be SBRs, it would be nice if there was a path to convert the firearm to a 16+" bbl with either a new barrel or welding/pinning a compensator or flash hider to get to 16+" bbl length to make them a standard minimum rifle length. New, decent barrels are not that expensive for an AR, nor that difficult to install. the poor mans version is to weld a piece of pipe to the barrel to get to the 16" length. That would legally make it a 16" barrel as long as it is permanently affixed.

$200 for Form 1 won't break the bank, but they'll probably grandfather them in. I'll be looking to sell mine at a nice premium.

Might want to sell them if you see a ban in imminent before it is enacted. in 1989 the Roberti-Roose AWC Act of '89 did not allow you to sell except to a state where it was legal.

At that time I had match AR's (eagle arms action masters, and an H-bar) and had to register them with the California DOJ in order to keep them and use them. Some of the matches post-ban wanted to see the rifle's paperwork before letting you sign up. I still have the DOJ letters in the buttstocks of those rifles as a memento and reminder.

Sniper, your stats show why all guns of all types should be illegal. Didn't heck they accuracy but have no reason to & will take them at face value.. Goes to show why the 2nd should be nothing more than a 'history lesson'.. It was an 'amendment' anyway - showng that it can be changed.. Want to keep your guns and ammo? Solve a few minor social 'problems' first that seem to be at the root of gun violence.... Madness, jealously, greed, power etc etc ... Lots of 'amendments' out there - remember prohibition - came and went.....

Unfortunately, sometimes you have to play the hand you are dealt and in this case the cat is already out of the bag. If I thought it was too much to deal with then there are plenty of options in terms of places to move where this problem is replaced with another that is just as detrimental to the people who live there. Stress is all relative.

As Dave Chappelle said, "The First Amendment is first for a reason. Second Amendment is just in case the first one doesn't work out."

Solve a few minor social problems? Please elaborate on which ones you are referring to.

When the founders wrote the 2nd amendment they are referring to black powder muzzle loading guns, and there was no standing army, hence the need for militia.

There's a strong logical argument that it's an anachronism.
