Biden is repairing the economy and that is causing fears of inflation.
Food prices have been rising at over-the-top rates since Trump's trade war began. OPEC controls the price of oil, but a stronger world economy will cause gas prices to rise due to more consumption. When WE were energy independant...ie: we EXPORTED more oil than we IMPORTED....we had extremely MORE leverage as to the price of crude on the world market! Because Biden shot our oil production in the HEAD and we now do NOT produce more oil than we consume....BIDEN has turned control of the price of crude BACK to the Arabs! The stock market is not the real economy for the averajge Joe.
Average Joe own's no stock. He would love it if the capital gains tax rate on went uo to 90%.. Help towards 'balancing the budget'.
Personaly I wouldn't groan if the Dow literally went down to 2,000 (not 20,000) overnight.. "Easy come - easy go".

Older white americans who have decent incomes, own their homes etc own a lot of stock, and the pecentage in stock ownership, in one form or another, has increased over the last few decades, but it is still largely the domain of 'white priveledge'.
There is a lot of excess 'disposable income' floating around nowadays and those with can afford to risk buying stock. See so much 'stupid money' being spent nowadays it isn't funny - Amplifies the stark difference between the 'haves' and 'have nots' - and also shows why the top tax rates need to be upped substiantially.
The average 'white person' is not the 'Average Joe'; Many 'Average Joes' prob don't even have a savings account - and have shitty way overpriced health insurance - really think they can 'buy stock' .. Any minor hiccup screws them financially.
