>> Fox News analyst Brit Hume rejected the possibility of President Trump winning public office again following the deadly riots at the U.S. Capitol that sparked a second impeachment effort, saying he is now "radioactive" among mainstream Republicans. Speaking on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" late Tuesday, Hume blamed the president and his allies for feeding his supporters "balderdash" about the legitimacy of the 2020 election as well as Vice President Pence's supposed ability to overturn the results. << Seriously? balderdash? Looks like these phonies have a new set of marching orders. ------------------------- "One of the reasons why propaganda tries to get you to hate government is because it's the one existing institution in which people can participate to some extent and constrain tyrannical unaccountable power." Those mainstream Republicans might make up 10% of Republicans. They are irrelevant. They will be your problem by next year.

Watching hannity explain how republicans are the victims, how Liz Cheney is unfit for leadership, how AOC wants to make cancel culture law. But first, impeaching America.

Well, the rumors of Fox's pivot have been exaggerated. They are screaming their crazy shit in feigned outrage and passing the mic from hannity to Ingraham to keep stoking that fire. I'm guessing that the ten republicans present a problem for them because they don't know which way the wind is blowing on that yet so they can't pile on. They don't report facts and they definitely parrot the talking points for reinforcement to the Murdoch cause, but it seems like the messaging is conflicted, in flux. It's the beginning of a trend and they don't know whether it's time to double down on trump or start that death of a thousand cuts that always begins with "it's unfortunate, of it wasn't for the virus, trump let himself down and conservatives with him, we have to focus on the positive but it might be time to acknowledge some of the negative....". The opening salvo might have begun. Or not.
