Isolated, disgraced, robbed of his twitter, staring at irrelevance
the final battle is over, anger versus intelligence
It was always going to end like this, it was never going to work
but it didn't happen at first so they got behind the jerk

It started with prophecies of doom by the threatened presidential candidates
back when they had they had the balls and luxury of speaking straight
But that ended fast and soon they got very much in line
the passenger seat feels so much better without a spine

They couldn't take the power from him so they waited for him to go
they could reinvent themselves in his image and be a part of his show
think of the application they filed for trump's job, the resume
They sold their souls to the devil, they weren't using them anyway

Today they are all tarred with the same filthy brush
the defining emotion from all is a singular disgust
they would have killed Pence, held the rest like hijackers
a dictator for democracy, no shame from his backers

But it failed, they failed and democracy proved too strong
the day of consequence is here, or at least it will be right along
its not enough to know the truth, you have to fight and protect it
you have to punish the liars and their "truth is subjective."

It wasnt Antifa, it wasnt a one off and it was inevitable
when the liars are held accountable, the insurrection is preventable
it had to get this far for the dull eyes to open wide
and for the insurrectionists, you will be tried.
