Will the tried and true "they're taking our guns" mantra fool us again?

I've seen this play a few times in my lifetime.
Funny thing is they never take the guns, but the ammunition gets scarce and the price doesn't seem to go back down.

Maybe the NRA can step in?

This is the strategy to be able to triple the price of guns and ammo. 9mm is going anywhere from .50 to a dollar a round. I can't even go to the range for recreation at that price. I used up my extra a while ago and I'm not buying new rounds at that price. I have strongly considered selling a few guns at the prices people are getting now. A glock 19 is going for $800.

But ATF does seem to be planning to reclassify arm braced AR "pistols" as NFA regulated SBRs.

A long time ago I predicted that silencers would be reclassified and made available without a license or that phony trust arrangement currently in place. I was dead wrong.

It does look like they may reclassify rifle caliber AR "pistols" with "arm braces" as NFA regulated SBR's. I heard they intended to waive the fee, but still require an ATF form 1.

Nothing new at all.... Ammo has be scarce since March. It went as quick as the TP did.

I'm sure some of the brighter therapists will start offering "Q deprogramming" services soon if they aren't already.

at the very least "Coping with Political Emotions" to put it more gently

I "inherited" my dad's service 45 earlier this year. 2 full boxes and 6 full clips. Got it buried in the back yard in a Tupperware container wrapped in oily rags just for the times that are ahead. Until then, I still have a wrist rocket, a gnarly machete and 2 big ass pit mixes. I figger while the ne'er do well is concentrating on keeping his nards out of my pritty pittie's mouths, I sling a lug nut in his head.

There have been at least 4 major ammo shortages since 2000, this is just another.
Some of BS about these shortages are in the past posts right here.
Shooters have done this to themselves by not planning, or by panicing.

Saw primers going for $200+ per 1000 on one of the gun websites a couple weeks ago, that is just crazy. Same thing with the popular loaded rounds like 5.56/.223, 9mm, 22LR, etc. some of the prices are just loco. So, shooting something like a 6.5BR, 243, 41 mag, 32HR, etc. right now is good as not many people do relatively speaking and you can find that ammo.
