Biden/Harris call for 3 months of masks.
That should trigger some cons. ------------------------- Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system. In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer". |

Hmmm, without any choice - -

And I'm sure they wouldn't put any restrictions on old people, with pre-existing conditions, shopping in big-box stores at peak hours. Why? Because SCIENCE, that's why.
I haven't had a chance to verify this but if this is true then Trump may not even need to campaign. They can do it for him. ------------------------- "The government who robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul," - George Bernard Shaw “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f—k things up.” - Barack Obama “End of quote. I personally wear a mask - -

Clearly a stupid move by Biden. More to come I expect.
Nothing to do with socialism or communism; it's pure neo-liberalism. ------------------------- Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system. To continue, he said the governors of the states should do it.
Smart move if we ever want this stupid thing to go away. ------------------------- I was right. Edited: 08/13/2020 at 03:16 PM by Cole |

He said everyone "should wear a mask" for the next 3 months. and errr.. everyone should. What it's "about" is stopping a pandemic, and trying to keep more people alive. I mean, you have to wear PANTS when you go out in public, and nobody's going to DIE from seeing your junk. Why all the crying about a mask that could very well save your own life. Damn, I mean there hasn't been this much crying since it became the law to wear a seatbelt.. Dotards should start getting butthurt about wearing pants.. I mean, might as well right? Get Trump whining about that next.. ------------------------- Edited: 08/13/2020 at 04:02 PM by fishkller |

We should have had a 95% mask wearing and social distancing protocol in place back in March or April.
Tens of thousands would be alive today if we did. I'd be good with a national temporary mandate with the provision to dial it back when the current guidelines of the CDC are met. Probably would have had much less impact on our nation in terms of jobs and the economy, and the duration of mask wearing. Looks like masks are here to stay for a long time now. Trump's America. ------------------------- If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: THE ONLY PROOF HE NEEDED FOR THE EXISTENCE OF GOD WAS MUSIC - KV Edited: 08/13/2020 at 04:18 PM by Bamboo |

For reference, the CDC on April 3rd issued their first clear recommendation for asymptomatic individuals to wear masks.
The Surgeon General tweeted on February 29: https://twitter.com/Surgeon_Ge...us/1233725785283932160 They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus, but if healthcare providers can't get them to care for sick patients, it puts them and our communities at risk! The lack of a mask mandate in March (and earlier) should be blamed on the scientific community, not on Trump. They own that. Trump owns it since then. Edited: 08/13/2020 at 05:01 PM by CurtisEflush |

California Sen. Kamala Harris, Biden's running mate, agreed with him. "That's what real leadership looks like," she said. To continue, he said the governors of the states should do it. If Biden thinks it should be nationwide, and Harris calls that leadership, why would he want state governors to mandate it? |

I personally wear a mask - - - - to protect me and you. [IMG][/IMG] But if true, this is a WIN for Trump. [IMG][/IMG] actually do agree with this Pretty much everyone is playing along for the short-term whether they agree that it does any good or not, and there isn't anything wrong with that, because there is still a lot we don't know about the virus. But people aren't going to do it for years and it is a slippery slope. That's what I have been trying to point out with the hypothetical questions about the gloves and the goggles. This could very easily and quickly morph into something that most people aren't onboard with. But most of the time I'm just fucking with people. ------------------------- "The government who robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul," - George Bernard Shaw “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f—k things up.” - Barack Obama “End of quote. The fact that no one is allowed to question the mask thing without people losing their f'ing minds should worry most people.
