But they did play up the Sambo and the tiger story in the restaurants. Never saw that story as racist. Showed that Sambo was smart enough to outsmart 4 tigers. But, then again, we have established that progs do not want blacks to be portrayed in a favorable light and don't want them to raise themselves out of poverty. I imagine that's why they took it upon themselves to get rid of Sambos.

Not sure how it was named but Sambos in CA was "themed" around the story of the kid from India getting his stuff (clothes, parasol...) stolen by Tigers. The Tigers get jealous and chase each other until they turn to butter whereupon Sambo's mom makes pancakes and Sambo and his dad eat em up. I can give you the story on what happened to Jack in the Box but it so full of woe.
