Most people know a donkey will pull a load if you hold a carrot on a stick in front of him and reward him with some carrots when all the work is done. That is simplistic example capitalism, where everyone that participates is a winner. You could also take all the farmer's carrots and just give them straight to the donkey. This ensures no work gets done, begins the onset of famine where everyone's a loser and is a simplistic example of socialism.
