IF we get the transcript, this will be spun again. It started with it didn't happen, then went to "I did nothing wrong" to whats the big deal. The whole goal to steer any blame to the Biden's will force Trump to the offensive. "How come no one cares about their crimes? They did it first." Pay particular attention to when Trump had his interview with Stephanopoulos where he admits he would accept foreign aid against political rivals. Interesting timing in hindsight.

So how might the justice department explain why they refused to hand over the transcript within 7 days to congress, thereby breaking the law. How could they cite national security reasons as the basis to refuse to hand it over yesterday and apparently hand over the whole thing tomorrow with no redactions? I'm skeptical they will but it's the department of justice that will be eating their words.

I'll be interested to hear what the recording has to say. I also wonder if they will ever say who the leaker was. If this recording turns out to show no signs of quid pro quo at all, then I will be convinced that Trump's team is responsible for leaking the story in order to inadvertently bring the story about the Bidens to the forefront while making Democrats looks stupid at the same time. Trump has a golden opportunity to do major damage due to the fact that the media will run with any story that makes him look bad, whether there is any truth to it or not, without verifying anything. He has the ability to set them up pretty easily. Same with his ability to have the DNC oppose any position he takes. He can support clean air and the Democrats will oppose him. He can push them so far left that they go off the cliff.

Earlier today James Clapper said the following on CNN, "You know, I hate to suggest this, but it's crossed my mind that even if we got a transcript, well, can we be assured that's actually what was said? So getting a transcript may not be such a great thing, either."

Those are not the words of someone who is confident that this will bring Trump down. It sounds like Clapper is preparing Democrats for another letdown.
