Very sad...

This time a bassist from ZZ Top, the band's legendary bassist Dusty Hill passed away at the age of 72. According to Hill's bandmates, he passed away at his home, in Houston Texas. They've posted a statement from social media accounts to share Dusty Hill's loss.

"We are saddened by the news today that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, TX," the surviving ZZ Top members write. "We, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the 'Top'. We will forever be connected to that "Blues Shuffle in C. You will be missed greatly, amigo."

Losing Dusty Hill was sad....Have You Heard he died over a year ago in the summer of 2021.

The Tres Hombres really are a part of music lore now.

I try to keep up, too, but part of not getting wrapped up in today's media gibberish may include missing some things. I'd heard about the ZZ Topp news when it happened but might be in that group that would appreciate news of it if I'd missed it.

I totally get it and was teasing, listening to the news is just depressing.

Have you Heard was a track off The tres Hombres album...IMO their best album ever, so it was a pun. I probably should have said that Jesus Just left Chicago and Dusty is thumping the bass by his side, Whats up with that?

I saw Zz-Top at the king center last year a few months after he passed away. The replacement bassist/roadie was nowhere near as good but looked the part!
